i am one of the countless millions who drew inspiration from nelson mandela's life. my veryfirst political action, the first thing i ever did that involved an issue or a policy or politics, was aprotest against apartheid. i studied his words and his writings. the day that he was releasedfrom prison gave me a sense of what human beings can do when they’re guided by their hopesand not by their fears. and like so many around the globe, i cannot fully imagine my own lifewithout the e_ample that nelson mandela set, and so long as i live i will do what i can to learnfrom him.

1969年的今天他離開了我們，而后根據(jù)他的遺囑，將骨灰撒向了大海，將我們對(duì)他的四年也隨之跟著去了那個(gè)大海，民族的英雄劉少奇，是他為反帝反殖和國際共產(chǎn)主義運(yùn)動(dòng)的開展，進(jìn)行了不懈的斗爭，建立了不朽的功績，贏得了全黨全軍全國各族人民的愛戴和尊敬。

一是迎難而上的開拓精神。劉少奇具有堅(jiān)定的政治立場、組織原則、紀(jì)律意識(shí)，他總是在中國革命緊要關(guān)頭，服從組織決定、聽從組織安排、擔(dān)當(dāng)歷史重任，出色地完成急、難、險(xiǎn)、重任務(wù)，并能迎難而上、勇往直前、獨(dú)擋一面開創(chuàng)新局面。
二是理論武裝的人文精神。中華民族優(yōu)秀傳統(tǒng)文化哺乳了一代偉人劉少奇，劉少奇用他的卓越與輝煌回報(bào)了生他養(yǎng)他的祖國和人民。劉少奇在抗日戰(zhàn)爭中的黨建思想光芒四射，特別是他獨(dú)樹一幟地將中華民族優(yōu)秀傳統(tǒng)文化與中國共產(chǎn)黨的思想理論有機(jī)結(jié)合，創(chuàng)造性地寫作了“黨建三論”，具有以文化人、以情感人、以理服人的魅力，受到了讀者熱烈歡迎，成為利用科學(xué)理論武裝人、熏陶人、塑造人、鼓舞人的光輝典范，教育和影響了一代又一代共產(chǎn)黨人為了民族獨(dú)立、國家富強(qiáng)、人民富裕、社會(huì)安定前赴后繼、英勇奮斗，彰顯了理論武裝的精神力量。
三是海納百川的團(tuán)結(jié)精神。“九一八”事變之后，中國共產(chǎn)黨順應(yīng)歷史潮流，為領(lǐng)導(dǎo)全民族抗日戰(zhàn)爭作了思想上的動(dòng)員、組織上的準(zhǔn)備和軍事上的積蓄。1937年7月7日，中國人民抗日戰(zhàn)爭全面暴發(fā)，中國共產(chǎn)黨以卓越的膽識(shí)和非凡的擔(dān)當(dāng)精神，站到了挽救民族危亡的歷史關(guān)頭，向全國各族人民發(fā)出了建立抗日民族統(tǒng)一戰(zhàn)線的號(hào)召。1938年3月，為了壯大抗日武裝力量，又作出了《關(guān)于大量發(fā)展黨員的決議》。劉少奇為了貫徹落實(shí)黨的抗日統(tǒng)一戰(zhàn)線政策，義無反顧地服從組織安排、肩負(fù)歷史使命，再次從延安出發(fā)奔赴抗日前線。他以壁立千韌的氣魄和海納百川的胸懷，團(tuán)結(jié)一切進(jìn)步人士和愛國力量同舟共濟(jì)、共同抗日。
